When planning this website, we asked: “What will our current and future clients
expect or want to find here?” “What will attract occasional visitors and give
them a reason to come back and tell others about what we are doing?”
Given our values of quality and our passion for customer service excellence,
the answer was immediately obvious. “We’ll ask YOU, our clients and visitors,
to tell us what you want to see here!” This collaborative approach will naturally
move us in the direction of our vision:
To live in a world where women in politics, professions and commerce are
equal to and only biologically different from men: a world where our daughters,
sons and grandchildren ask: “What was The Glass Ceiling?”
So we invite you to share with us any studies, gains, links, procedures,
problems and barriers that demonstrate the perpetuation of our current state
of (often hypocritical or hidden) bias against full career equalization. We
would also like to hear about individuals and organizations that are success -
fully working to resolve this issue in respectful, inclusive and effective ways.
Whether you are an employed or independent working woman, you will have
in some way been impacted by gender bias. Tell us about your experiences.
We want to understand this issue in its entirety, especially how it impacts
those women who step out of the workplace to nurture your children, or those
of you who are doing double or triple duty by raising a family and caring for
older relatives in addition to your “day job.” Tell us about the overt and blatant
inequities, as well as its underlying and less obvious aspects.
Are only women welcome to comment? As far as we know, democracy is still
a foundation under our culture and way of life, so of course men are welcome
to comment. Certainly men who have daughters have a great deal at stake in
this too! We welcome input from men who are educated and enlightened.
Men who in their commitment to develop a healthy and productive economy,
see the necessity of removing this relic issue from the present and relegating
it to a much more fitting historical context.
Please help us be a positive catalyst and effective tool in bringing about change
that will make our vision the new reality.
When you submit your comments, thoughts, ideas and suggestions, they will be
reviewed by our Board of Advisors before being posted. If you would like to join
our advisory board, tell us a little about yourself, your credentials/background,
and why this issue is particularly important to you.
